About Us

Family Unity In Our Community

Family Unity In Our Community Inc. is a grassroots nonprofit organization dedicated to uplifting families and strengthening communities across Long Island and New York State. Rooted in the belief that every family deserves support, connection, and opportunity, we provide programs and services that meet people where they are—emotionally, educationally, and economically.

We offer a wide range of community-based programs including afterschool enrichment, mentoring, food distribution, senior services, family counseling, and youth development. Whether it’s helping a child discover their potential, guiding teens through positive life choices, or supporting parents and caregivers, everything we do is designed to build unity—within families and across neighborhoods.

Our organization was born from the idea that “it takes a village,” and we’re proud to be that village for so many. We serve with compassion, integrity, and a deep commitment to equity—ensuring that all families, regardless of background or circumstance, have access to the resources they need to thrive.
